A new chapter for live comedy in Byron begins this June, with the launch of Byron Bay Comedy and its first event, Rick’s Comedy Review.

Kicking off on 23 June 2026, the monthly comedy night will take place at Paradiso Music Room. With just 50 seats available, the focus is on a close, high-energy room where the connection between comedians and audience takes centre stage.

The opening show features a strong mix of established names and local talent.

Headlining the night is Mandy Nolan, a Byron local and one of Australia’s most recognisable stand-up comedians. Known for her sharp, honest style, she has been performing for decades and knows how to work a room.

Hosting duties will be handled by Grace Hogan, setting the tone for the night.

Supporting the lineup is a group of local and regional comics, including Dan Sevcik, Odette and Mark Boulton.

Byron Bay Comedy is created by byronbay.com’s Rick Slater, with a simple idea. Keep it small, keep it fun, and build a room people want to come back to each month.
