Skate Deck exhibition and auction, market stalls, kids entertainment and live local music featuring Bunny Racket.

Byron Bay will celebrate with a special family friendly event showcasing Youth, Skate and Arts Culture at The YAC.

The community minded crew at Temple Tattoo Byron Bay have teamed up with Byron Youth Service to present The Byron Bay Skate Deck Expo.

An amazing group of tattoo and skate artists have generously donated skate deck artworks to feature in the exhibition with some 50 decks to be showcased and auctioned off to raise money to support Byron Youth Service.

This exhibition event coincides with the official opening of the Byron Bay Skate Park and features kids activities, market stalls and live music with local favourite Bunny Racket headlining.

BYS General Manager Christian Tancred said he was excited and full of gratitude for the artists who have contributed.

“Claire from Temple Tattoo approached me with the idea and then she just made it happen.”

“It’s really nice to feel supported in the work we do at The YAC, when people give of themselves to help out it gives you that spring in your step you need to keep grinding away.”

Claire Reid from Temple tattoo said the event is important to her community of artists and they have got right behind it.

“Skate culture unites all age groups and demographics.”

“The Byron Bay Skate Expo is an exciting opportunity for Byron Bay youth, international and national artists to come together in a community event.”

“It also highlights the need to generate much needed funds and awareness for Byron Youth Services.” she said
