Big Scrub Rainforest Day Celebrations return on November 23- 26 this year with walks, talks and workshops across 4 days.

This year’s celebration includes over 15 events across 10 Big Scrub locations, featuring Science in the Pub at the Eltham, a multi-school community planting day, seed propagation workshops and walks in Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens, Bodhi Tree Forest Monastery, Dorrobbee Grass, Booyong Nature Reserve, Victoria Park Nature Reserve and Cape Byron Distillery.

Registrations are essential and spaces limited, head to our website to reserve your spot.
The event would not be possible without the generous support of Rous County Council and our sponsors: NSW Government, Stone & Wood, Rainforest Rescue, Firewheel Rainforest Nursery, Envite Environment, Brookfarm, Cape Byron Distillery and Big Scrub Foundation.
This year also marks the 30th anniversary for Big Scrub Rainforest Conservancy, a big occasion for any landcare group or community organisation. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events to help us celebrate the Big Scrub and our many years fighting to save it.

Big Scrub Rainforest Day has been presented annually since 1998, except for 2021 when Covid-19 restrictions caused its cancellation. It informs and engages the community on all aspects of lowland subtropical rainforest and its restoration.
