Great Southern Nights presents Hannah Macklin: Drink the Sun
Fresh off the back of releasing her debut full-length album, the conceptual cosmic work “MU” and following a rebrand of a swathe of past releases (encompassing former aliases MKO and MKO Sun), the enigmatic Hannah Macklin brings her 5-piece band (featuring Brandon Mamata – guitar, Peta Wilson – keys, Lachlan Symons – bass and Sam Mitchell – drums) to the Brunswick Picture House to rock a show! Hannah sings messages of gratitude and wonderment for all expressed from both inner and outer worlds, woven with a kooky and energetic blend of soul, nu-jazz and punk. Joining the bill is Meanjin/Gimuy singer-songwriter KALILA.
