BBFF2026 Opening Night

BBFF’s 20th edition opens with a red-carpet gala at Palace Byron Bay, bringing together filmmakers, film lovers and special guests for this milestone night.

The evening includes a Red Carpet Reception with live music by Luke Bennett, Bimbadgen Estate wines, Stone & Wood beer, Papa Salt Coastal Gin, non-alcoholic options and Japanese-fusion dishes from Tokyo Doll. Guests then take their seats for the 8pm screening of The Fox, with an after-party downstairs at Tokyo Doll for ticket holders whose ticket includes access.
