Australian Premiere of Thomas Campbell’s YI-WO

Join us at Stone & Wood Brewery for the Australian premiere of Thomas Campbell’s new surf film YI-WO, hosted by Lauren Hill and Dave Rastovich, supporting Surfers for Climate.

YI-WO is a prayer, a habitual ritualistic gaze into the depths of the vast unknowable. YI-WO is a celebration of very purposely selected forms of the connective water sliding pursuits. It’s poem, a place to be or not to be untangled. A space for your time, to possibly honor the practice, this existence and the path’s potential dimensional expansive qualities.

Ten years in the making, filmed across Fiji, Morocco, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Australia, Utah and California, YI-WO features surfers Lauren Hill, Dave Rastovich, Ozzy Wright, Ryan Burch, Alex Knost, Craig Anderson, Karina Rozunko, Joel Tudor, Nick Melanson, Jared Mell, Trevor Gordon and Bryce Young.

YI-WO was shot predominantly on 16mm film by Thomas Campbell, Dave Homcy, Scott Soens, Christ Bryan and Tyge Landa among others and directed by Thomas Campbell.
