Tucked under the southern side of Cape Byron, at the northern end of Tallow beach, is Cosy Corner. The beach offers surf breaks that are protected from the northerly winds, with ideal surf conditions occurring during a North – North East swell. These idyllic conditions produce clean, large waves making Cosy Corner a popular surf destination despite frequently strong rips in the area.

The beach has been protected by Arakwal National Park since 2001 and is accessible down Tallow Beach Road, where you’ll have to pay National Parks $6 to park your car.

From Cosy Corner, you get a great view of the hang-gliders swooping from their launch pad overhead.
