Surfers, Beachlovers, Waterpeople and All!!! Due to covid related complications, the 2022 Byron Bay Surf Festival has moved to a September timeslot this year.
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 8 TO SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 11 2022
Held in Australia’s much-loved and internationally famous beach town Byron Bay, the Festival will provide some fabulously immersive experiences of surf culture. Our first event will actually be on Wednesday 7 September where we will be premiering the digitally re-mastered version of George Greenoughs iconic film ‘Echoes’ with Pink Floyd soundtrack. Thursday night we host Californian Filmmaker Jack Colemans new feature film ‘Natural High’.
Our official Opening Night on Friday 9 September 2022 will feature none other than the legendary Jack McCoy and his unique Surf Talk and Jam Show. Featuring live indigenous music and special guests Derek Hynd & Jaleesa Vincent. That is going to be a hard act to follow.
But follow it we will, with days of surfing, nights of live music, art, environmental elements and a banging closing party on Sunday the 11 th of September. Get the dates into your diary and watch this space for the detailed program.
