Byron Writers Festival today announces that the 2027 Festival will take place Friday 20 August to Sunday 22 August, 2027.

Following the success of the sold-out 2026 event, the Festival will return to the heart of Byron Bay again in 2027.

“We’re grateful to the writers, partners, volunteers and, of course, our audience who welcomed the festival so warmly into the Byron CBD,” said Artistic Director/CEO Jessica Alice. “We’re looking forward to further embedding the festival into the town and presenting another stellar lineup of writers, musicians and artists from around Australia and the world.”

The 2027 program launch date, including headline authors and ticketing details, will be announced in the new year. Ticket-buyers are encouraged to subscribe to the Festival’s mailing list for early access to updates.
