Sample Food Festival 2025 promises to be a vibrant celebration of culinary artistry, bringing together food lovers, chefs, and local producers at the picturesque Bangalow Showgrounds. Attendees can anticipate a dynamic blend of live cooking demonstrations, interactive workshops, and an eclectic mix of entertainment to complement the rich array of dishes available for sampling from $5 – $15.

This year’s festival will also spotlight sustainability, encouraging vendors and visitors to adopt eco-friendly practices while showcasing the region’s commitment to environmental consciousness.

The new Festival Director Nadja Konietzko from Myss Events is dedicated to foster a sense of community and connection through every event detail, creating unforgettable experiences for all involved. The event is an all-ages event, with lots of activities for the little ones to explore

Nadja is no stranger to events or this region. Having previously worked as Chief Operating Officer for Bluesfest, Nadja is a well-seasoned events manager and a member of the Byron Shire community since 2007.

What’s New?

VIP Pavilion and Garden
After last year’s introduction of reserved tables, many of you have requested more tables in the shade and we have listened and are introducing a new VIP area within the Moller Pavilion, and its veranda and gardens. Spaces are limited here so be quick to get your tickets. VIP tickets include festival entry.

The Pavilion will feature a bar, tables and seating, as well as an area for selected vendors to showcase their products. Expressions of interests for vendors are now open.

The gardens have a lovely view over the Sample circle and the entertainment and cooking stage. There is plenty of shade provided.

The Golden Spoon
Stay tuned for a new award category for best Spo(o)nsor, where we celebrate our best sponsor, depending on criteria such as community engagement, activation and product or service quality. Will share more information about this award in our upcoming newsletters.

Event Details
The 2025 event will be held on Saturday 6 September from 8:00am to 4:00pm at the Bangalow Showground. The event is an all-ages event. Kids under 16 are free to enter.
