A unique dining event is coming to the Byron Bay hinterland, with Frida’s Field hosting a one-night progressive farm dinner to mark the Autumn Equinox.

Set on the working farm just outside Byron Bay, the evening invites guests to move through the property as the sun sets, experiencing food, landscape and seasonal produce together. The event is limited to just 50 people, creating a small, shared gathering rather than a typical restaurant service.

Instead of a single table booking, the night unfolds across the farm. Guests arrive in the late afternoon as golden hour settles over the paddocks and are welcomed with a seasonal canapé and cocktail inspired by the farm harvest. From there, the experience moves to the outdoor BBQ for substantial seafood canapés cooked over fire and paired with sparkling wine.

The evening continues in the orchard with another course before a lantern-lit guided walk across areas of the farm not normally open to the public as twilight descends. Guests then gather inside the barn for a seated two-course meal featuring Wagyu beef and carefully paired beverages.

Dessert takes place around the fire pit, with an interactive sweet course served alongside hot chocolate and storytelling to close the night.

The dinner is timed to the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equal in length and the Southern Hemisphere shifts into autumn. The setting encourages guests to slow down, walk the fields, gather around the fire and share food and conversation in a natural environment.

For visitors looking to step away from a standard restaurant booking and experience the hinterland in a more immersive way, this one-night-only event offers something different.
