Lord Byron Distillery is a family owned craft distillery in the Byron Arts and Industry Estate. They run on 100 percent renewable energy and follow a zero waste approach. Their spirits use local ingredients, including water from the family farm and molasses from nearby cane growers. Visitors can drop in for a tasting, book a tour, or take part in one of their hands on classes.
Gin Making Class
The gin making class gives you the chance to create your own bottle of gin. You select your botanicals, work through the distilling process with the team, and bottle a 500 ml spirit to take home. It is relaxed, creative, and ideal for couples, small groups, or anyone who wants a deeper look at how gin is made.
Cocktail Class
The cocktail class teaches you how to mix two signature drinks using the distillery’s own spirits. You learn simple techniques, shake and build your cocktails, and enjoy a drink on arrival. It is a fun activity for groups or friends who want something different to do in Byron.
Tasting Tour
The tasting tour walks you through the distillery and explains how the spirits are produced on site. You finish with a guided tasting flight and learn how the local ingredients shape the flavour. It is a great option if you want an easy introduction to the distillery without joining a full class.
