WHERE
The Byron Stand Up Paddle Nature Tour runs on the beautiful and peaceful (and flat) Brunswick River (part of the Cape Byron Marine Park), where you can unplug, unwind and enjoy a relaxing stand up paddle boarding adventure with your friends, family or partner.
WHO IS THIS TOUR FOR
This unique tour is perfect for a wide range of ages and abilities, especially since you can book a private tour for just you and your crew and the experience will be tailored for you. You don’t need to be super fit OR have great balance to enjoy the many benefits of SUP, just a can-do attitude and be able to swim (even though you’ll possibly come back dry). We’re regularly told “It was easier than I expected!” at the end of these tours.
This SUP adventure is a fantastic family activity for both big and little kids. Depending on the age, size and ability of the kids, they will either sit on the front of their parent’s board, be towed on their own board behind the instructor, or paddle themselves.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
On the Byron Stand Up Paddle Nature Tour you’ll feel far away from the hustle and bustle while paddling along the beautiful Brunswick River, without even a house in sight. Here you’ll be soaking up the serenity of being surrounded by nature. You’ll be looking out for ospreys, white-bellied sea eagles and other local bird life as well as crabs, fish and baby stingrays, that scatter off in a cloud of sand as you come near. The Tunnel of Trees takes the serenity of your tour to the next level. Here you’ll test your new manoeuvring skills as you weave throughout the trees, while enjoying the stunning reflections and the beautiful sight of the sunlight coming through the tree canopy and illuminating everything green.

Start times vary with the tides so please call or text 0434 250 830 for the start time for your preferred day, availability and to book.
Please note you will need to be able to make your own way to the meeting address in Brunswick Heads (8 minutes north on the highway from Byron). It’s a great excuse to check out this great little town before or after your tour.
