Ride the new Northern Rivers Rail Trail with ease on a self-guided E Bike tour with Beyond Byron E Bikes. Don’t just rent a bike, have an adventure!
The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is a 25km purpose-built walking and cycling track which winds through the Tweed hinterland following the old railway line. It features multiple old railway bridges, varied landscapes, great views and two tunnels (one 524m long with glowworms and microbats!)
Along the way you will pass through a selection of hinterland villages, including Crabbes Creek, Mooball, Burringbar and Stokers Siding with opportunities to stop for coffee, visit a cheese factory, take part in natural wine tasting, browse antique shops, a pottery and art galleries. In Murwillumbah you can stop for lunch in any number of great cafes or restaurants and also visit the Tweed Regional Art gallery and the M Arts precinct.
Riding, especially with an E bike is super easy. The track is a mixture of compressed gravel and asphalt, it’s pretty flat and best of all, no cars! If you can ride a bike you can do this tour easily.
We meet you in Mooball at 10am and transfer you to the very start of the trail at Wooyung/Crabbes Creek. We set you with a great German made E Bike, a helmet, backpack and a custom smartphone app with navigation & points of interest. You will E bike the full 25km length to Murwillumbah then cruise back to meet us at Mooball around 3pm.
From Mooball to Murwillumbah and back, from $129 (one way option with transfer also available)
