Overview

Be immersed in nature as you cruise the Northern Rivers Rail Trail on an E Bike from Beyond Byron E Bikes.

The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is 24km, purpose built, bike trail which winds through the Tweed hinterland, featuring old railway bridges, two old tunnels (one 524m long with glowworms and microbats!), many varied landscapes and a selection of hinterland villages.

You have 4-5 hours to cycle to Murwillumbah and back and plenty of time to stop for coffee, have lunch in Murwillumbah or Hosanna Farmstay, or maybe visit the Tweed Regional Art Gallery.

Our focus is on your comfort and safety, our e bikes are German made, well maintained and specially adapted for the Rail trail with gel seats and puncture proof tyres.

The riding, especially with an E bike, is easy. The track is a mixture of compressed gravel and asphalt, it’s pretty flat and best of all, no cars! Bring the whole family, we have kids e bikes and trailers for the toddlers. If you can ride a bike you can do this tour!.

We set you with a great E Bike & Helmet and off you go!.

Hire starts from our location at the south end of the Rail Trail in Mooball, next to the Moo Moo Roadhouse. This is the easiest access point from Byron Bay/Lennox etc.

E Bike Hire lasts up to 5 hours (To ride to Murwillumbah and back will take you 2.5 hours of actual cycling) with flexible start times from 9-11.30am. We also have kids ebikes, baby seats, toddler trailers & dog trailers.
