Launching on Friday 27 June, Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens invites families to step into a world of wonder and delight this winter break with the launch of our newest experience: The Fairy Trail – a whimsical, nature-inspired journey weaving through the Shambhala Gardens.

Hidden among towering crystals, ancient trees, and blooming flowers, the pram and wheelchair friendly Fairy Trail offers a gentle adventure in nature. Guided by the unseen world of fairies, elves, and gnomes, it will captivate children of all ages, families, friends and grandparents.

Tiny doors, colourful fairy houses, and enchanted dwellings sparkle from unexpected places – nestled at the base of rocky gardens, perched in the forks of trees, and tucked within mossy groves.

“Suitable for children aged two years and over, our new and accessible Fairy Trail is a celebration of imagination and nature,” says Toby King, Crystal Castle General Manager. “We’ve woven together the magic of our giant crystals and the natural beauty of our gardens to create a truly enchanting experience for children and the young at heart.

“Fairies, by their very nature, remain unseen – but their presence can be felt in every whisper of the trees and sparkle of light through the gardens,” he adds.

With a beautifully illustrated fairy map in hand, children are invited to follow a path with 13 enchanting fairy houses and doors hidden throughout the lush Shambhala Gardens. As they journey through the landscape, they’ll uncover shimmering crystal treasures and learn about the mystical beings said to protect this magical realm. Once they’ve solved the clues and uncovered the secret mystery words, a special prize awaits to reward their adventure.

“The Fairy Trail is a way for kids to connect more deeply with nature and the enchantment already here at Crystal Castle,” continues King. “It’s a gentle story woven into the land – encouraging time for families to be together and share the joy of discovery.”

The Fairy Trail opens on Friday 27 June, just in time for the winter school holidays. The Fairy Trail is free for visitors attending Crystal Castle with Day Pass Admission.

Families can take advantage of the Family Day Pass, available for 2 adults and 2 children (aged between 4-14 years inclusive), which also includes access to all guided experiences and represents a 30% saving on Day Pass admission. Children 0-3 are free.
