A night of Afro-Cuban rhythm, big band energy and late night latin jazz at Paradiso Music Room. Kwasi Bruni Big Band returns with a live sho
Havana Noche is a celebration of Afro-Cuban jazz, salsa and big band improvisation, led by the powerful sounds of Kwasi Bruni Big Band.
Drawing inspiration from the golden era of latin jazz in the 1950s and 60s, the band pays tribute to legends like Cachao López, Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaría and the Palmieri brothers, while adding their own modern, Austro-Cuban twist.
Co-led by bassist Barry Hill and Colombian pianist Camilo Losada, Kwasi Bruni Big Band was born out of a jam session.Staying true to the descargas tradition where spontaneity, groove and musical conversation come first. Their shared love of jazz, salsa and Afro-Cuban rhythm has grown into a formidable big band featuring a five-piece horn section and three outstanding percussionists.
Expect warm latin rhythms, bold horn lines and an energetic live show that builds as the night goes on. Whether you’re there to dance, listen or settle in with a cocktail, Havana Noche at Paradiso Music Room is about good music, good atmosphere and a late night feel inspired by the latin sounds.
Ticket holders will be greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival between 7.30pm – 10pm.
